Congratulations to V&A Law's newly-promoted Partners

Villaraza & Angangco ("V&A Law") is pleased to announce the promotion of Atty. Mark Leo P. Bejemino of the Intellectual Property Department to Partner, effective 01 January 2023. 
 
Atty. Bejemino obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Philippines and was awarded the Dean's Medal for Academic Excellence and the Salvador T. Carlota Prize for Best Paper in Administrative Law and the Law on Public Officers. He placed fourth in the 2014 Philippine Bar Examinations and has a degree in Applied Physics from the University of the Philippines, where he graduated cum laude. He completed patent drafting and training courses provided by the International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys (FICPI) and the Japan Patent Office (JPO).
 
Atty. Bejemino’s practice focuses on trademark and patent prosecution as well as intellectual property litigation. He applies his superior technical acumen to patent drafting and prosecution matters, freedom to operate searches, and patent invalidation and infringement cases. 
 
Atty. Bejemino is an active member of the of the Intellectual Property Association of the Philippines (IPAP) and Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP). He is currently the Deputy Chairperson of the of the Ways and Means Committee of the IBP - Makati Chapter and previously served as Assistant Secretary of the Board of Directors of the said chapter.
 
Atty. Bejemino is dedicated to the continued development of the legal education and IP practice in the Philippines. Recently, he was one of the lecturers in the 2022 WIPO-IPOPHL Summer School: The Role of Intellectual Property in Emerging Economies. Currently, Atty. Bejemino is a law lecturer at the University of the Philippines College of Law and the San Sebastian College of Law.
