Villaraza & Angangco (“V&A”) is pleased to announce the promotion of Atty. Raquel Wealth A. Taguian of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department to Senior Partner.
Atty. Taguian is currently serving as V&A’s Head of Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department and is also a part of its Arbitration Practice Group.
With 20 years of litigation experience, Atty. Taguian has obtained expertise in international commercial arbitration and construction arbitration, intra-corporate disputes, corporate rehabilitation, civil and criminal litigation, government procurement and public utillities.
Atty. Taguian’s clients include, among others, Ayala Land Inc., Makati Development Corporation, Manila Water Company, EEI Corporation, Udenna Group of Companies, Alveo Land, Bonifacio Gas Corporation, AC Energy Holdings Corp., ISOC Holdings, Inc., CITRA Group, Mekatrade Asia Pte Ltd., Alliance Select Foods International, Inc., and Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation.
Atty. Taguian has contributed to several international publications, including Arbitration Law in the Philippines released by The Legal 500; the In-House Lawyer Comparative Legal Guide Philippines: Employment and Labour Law; The International Financial Law Review Philippines: Stricter Contracting Arrangements.
Atty. Taguian obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the Ateneo de Manila University, where she graduated with honors, and her Bachelor of Science, Major in Legal Management, from the same university. Atty. Taguian was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2003. Atty. Taguian is also a Philippine Dispute Resolution Center, Inc. Trained Arbitrator.
