On 11 August 2017, the Firm hosted the V&A Lecture Series, featuring Assistant Secretary for Cybersecurity and Enabling Technologies of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (“DICT”), Allan S. Cabanlong. Assistant Secretary Cabanlong gave a lecture on modern threats and cybersecurity issues that companies must account for in their daily operations. He also introduced to the audience the National Cybersecurity Plan of 2022, a country-wide framework for information security and risk management. The lecture discussed the crucial role of the private sector, particularly those providing Critical Infrastructure, in the implementation of the Plan.
