As we begin the new year, Villaraza & Angangco (V&A Law) is pleased to announce the promotion of Atty. Amber Shawn A. Gagajena, CPA to Partner of the Corporate and Commercial Law Department, effective 1 January 2026.
Atty. Gagajena is a CPA-Lawyer with over eight years of experience in corporate and commercial law and a strong background in accounting, tax reporting, and auditing. He has advised both sellers and buyers in numerous complex cross-border and domestic M&A transactions across a wide range of industries, including logistics, telecommunications, public utilities, energy, shipping, manufacturing, and real estate. In addition to M&A, he specializes in taxation law, intra-corporate disputes, high-stakes corporate takeovers, estate settlement, gaming, anti-trust and competition law. He has extensive experience in representing clients before the Philippine Competition Commission (PCC), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), and has secured favorable results for his clients.
Atty. Gagajena holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accountancy from University of the Philippines–Diliman and he earned his law degree from Ateneo Law School where he graduated with Second Honors. Since joining V&A Law in 2018, he has been consistently recognized as one of the best associates of the Firm for excellence in his work.
