Professional Background

 

Mr. Kyle Gino M. Salazar joined the firm and was admitted to the bar in 2023. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Philippines College of Law. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the same university, where he graduated cum laude.

 

He made a significant contribution during his time in law school by assisting in the drafting of a Petition for Certiorari challenging the constitutionality of the highly controversial Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020 before the Supreme Court of the Philippines. This notable endeavor involved working alongside legal luminaries, Retired Associate Justice Antonio T. Carpio and Former Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales, as well as prominent Constitutional Law Professors from the University of the Philippines College of Law.

 

Mr. Salazar currently specializes in Intellectual Property, handling trademark and patent prosecution, as well as providing strategic support in dealing with IP litigation such as infringement, opposition, and enforcement actions. He leverages his experience in handling infringement and unfair competition cases before the regular courts, as well as inter partes proceedings before the Philippine Intellectual Property Office (IPOPHL). His expertise also extends to domain name disputes, where he handles issues such as infringement, cybersquatting, and trademark violations, involving the improper use of domain names.
