Villaraza & Angangco (“V&A Law”) continued its 45th-anniversary celebrations with an intimate Valentine’s Dinner under the sparkling Murano chandeliers of the distinguished Rainmakers Lounge last February 13. Pioneered by former V&A Law Chairman, CEO and Founder, F. Arthur “Pancho” Villaraza, this annual Firm event brings together partners, associates, and their special guests for an evening of entertaining music and fine dining.
Hosted by V&A Law Associate, Warren Edrick G. Chu, the evening began with heartfelt welcoming remarks from Managing Partner, Sylvette Y. Tankiang, who described the Firm’s annual tradition as a tribute to the connections and relationships that have shaped the Firm’s success.
Attendees were treated to a sumptuous three-course plated meal prepared by The Plaza Catering, complemented by a beautifully arranged grazing table and dessert bar by XO46 Heritage Bistro, and delectable craft cocktails especially prepared for the event by bartender, RJ Ramirez, formerly from Bitters, Run Rabbit Run, and Recraft.
Renowned Manila String Machine provided an enchanting musical backdrop throughout the event, topped by a special piano performance from Joachim Alfonso A. Navarro, the son of V&A Law Senior Partner Alejandro Alfonso E. Navarro. The audience was also treated to a surprise performance from V&A Law Associate, Juan Miguel B. Mozo on vocals, and Joachim on piano, that certainly upped the romance of the night.
This year’s Valentine’s Dinner was a reflection of the strong bonds built in the Firm over the years. More than a celebration of the romantic spirit of Valentine’s Day, the event was a celebration of the love and camaraderie that have defined the Firm’s 45-year legacy of excellence.
