Villaraza and Angangco Law (“V&A Law”) and the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines co-hosted on 20 July 2023 the Luncheon Meeting with Department of Labor and Employment (“DOLE”) Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma, held at Dusit Thani, Manila. V&A Law Partner and Labor and Emploment Practice Group Deputy Head Rashel Ann Pomoy served as host and panelist for the event.
In his keynote speech, Secretary Laguesma discussed the DOLE’s future plans to improve the employment landscape in the Philippines and enhance human capital development. International Labor Organization Country Director for the Philippines Khalid Hassan also delivered a presentation on green jobs and the impact of the use of artificial intelligence to employment and the future of work. Rashel joined Khalid in answering questions from the attendees during the open forum.
