The chapter was co-authored by V&A Law partners Katrina V. Doble and Danielle Francesca T.C. San Pedro and Senior Associates Maria Patricia P. Cruz and Edward King L. Chua. The Philippine chapter of the guide provides insights on local rules, regulations, and practices involving the protection and enforcement of trademarks and copyright in the Philippines.
V&A Law also contributed a new Trends and Development Article for the Chambers Global Practice Guide for Trademarks & Copyright 2026 entitled “Geographical Indications in the Philippines: New Rules, New Recognition and Rising Global Relevance.” The article was co-authored by V&A Law partners Katrina V. Doble and Danielle Francesca T.C. San Pedro, its Senior Associate Edward King L. Chua, and Junior Associate Kyle Gino M. Salazar. The article focuses on the protection and enforcement of geographical indications pursuant to the Philippine Intellectual Property Office’s Memorandum Circular No 2022-022.
